Florida Couples Workshops & Relationship Retreats
Don't Just Get Away. Go Home with a Plan.
Experience the world-renowned "Art & Science of Love" weekend workshop in Central Florida.
Many couples look for a "marriage retreat" hoping that a few days in paradise will fix the disconnect. But relaxation isn't repair. To make lasting changes, you need more than a vacation, you need a toolkit.
Hosted by Alexis Honeycutt, a Certified Gottman Therapist, our workshops bring the gold standard of relationship science to Central Florida. We provide the "Art & Science of Love", a two-day, research-based seminar designed to help you rebuild friendship, manage conflict, and create shared meaning. Whether you are looking to strengthen a happy union or rescue a struggling one, this is the environment where real skill-building happens.

More Than a Getaway.
A Relationship Transformation.
Set in a distraction-free, luxury venue, this workshop removes the noise of daily life so you can focus entirely on each other. Unlike a standard vacation where you simply "take a break," this experience equips you with a permanent toolkit. You will leave with the specific skills to:
-
Disarm Conflict: Replace criticism and defensiveness with the specific antidotes that de-escalate arguments.
-
Deepen Intimacy: Use "Love Maps" and shared admiration to rebuild the friendship at the core of your marriage.
-
Restore Trust: Learn the science of emotional safety and how to repair small hurts before they become big resentments.

Ideal for couples at any stage, from premarital preparation to long-term partners seeking a refresh.
The Gold Standard: Evidence-Based & Research-Led
This is not an experimental approach. The "Art & Science of Love" is based on 40 years of research by Drs. John and Julie Gottman on over 3,000 couples. Presented by Alexis Honeycutt, LMHC (Certified Gottman Therapist), this seminar delivers:
-
Structured Learning: Engaging lectures and live demonstrations of the tools in action.
-
Private Practice: You work only with your partner on exercises. There is no group sharing or public vulnerability required.
-
Clinical Support: Expert rovers are available to assist you privately if you get stuck during an exercise.

The Venue: The Celeste Hotel, Orlando. We host our workshops at The Celeste to ensure a premium, all-in-one experience. With the event and accommodations under one roof, you eliminate the commute and maximize your time for connection. Located minutes from Orlando International Airport (MCO), it is easily accessible for couples flying in from across the country.

FAQ Section
1. Is this the same as couples therapy? No. This is a psycho-educational workshop, not group therapy. Think of it as a masterclass for your relationship. In therapy, you process specific past traumas and emotional wounds. In this workshop, you learn a specific set of tools and research-based skills to navigate those conversations on your own.
2. Is this workshop right for us if we are in crisis? It depends on the nature of the crisis. This workshop is excellent for couples who feel stuck, disconnected, or are recovering from past hurts. However, if you are currently dealing with active addiction, domestic violence, or an undisclosed affair, this group setting is not the appropriate starting point. For those situations, we strongly recommend our Private Intensives where we can provide a safe, contained clinical environment.
3. Will we have to share our personal problems with the group? Absolutely not. We have a strict "No Public Sharing" policy. You will listen to lectures and watch demonstrations as a group, but all exercises are done privately between you and your partner. You will never be put on the spot or asked to air your dirty laundry to strangers.
4. What kind of results can we expect? Research shows that 94% of couples who attend this workshop report improvement in their relationship. Most leave with a renewed sense of friendship, a concrete toolkit for managing conflict, and a roadmap for how to keep the momentum going at home.
5. What should we wear? Dress for comfort. The room is climate-controlled, so layers are recommended. You will be sitting, listening, and talking with your partner, so wear whatever makes you feel relaxed and at ease.
6. Are meals provided? We provide coffee, tea, water, and curated snacks throughout the morning and afternoon. For lunch, you will have a 90-minute break to explore the excellent dining options in Oviedo or enjoy the on-site restaurant at The Celeste Hotel. This break is intentional time for you to decompress and digest the morning's material together.
7. What if we need more personalized help? If you feel your relationship needs deep, private repair rather than a classroom environment, please explore our Private Couples Intensives. These are private, 1-on-1 days with Alexis Honeycutt designed to tackle specific, complex issues.
